EU-backed £100m London Green Fund opens


A new London Energy Efficiency Fund is set to help public sector buildings cut carbon emissions, reports Business Green.

Hospitals, fire and police stations are being urged to apply for a loans of up to £10m. The loans will come from a package of new funds worth £100m set up by mayor Boris Johnson.

The London Energy Efficiency Fund (LEEF) is designed to help pay for measures such as efficient lighting systems, ventilation and boiler upgrades, as well as smart meters and solar panels on public buildings.
